Player Code of Conduct Highbury Table Tennis Club is dedicated to the creation of an environment that nurtures and promotes the enjoyment and enthusiasm of every player within our sport, through a safe, positive ethos. We endeavour to empower our players to conduct themselves with a sense of personal moral integrity, based on the acceptance of good ethical principles which including fairness, equality, respect for others, and an innate sense of fair-play and ‘doing what is right’. At Highbury Table Tennis club, unethical behaviour, rule breaking (the rules are outlined below in this document), drug taking, or violence is automatically rejected as being incompatible with the true purpose of sportsmanship and Table Tennis in general. I agree ______________________ For Myself Self-regulated rules: • Always represent myself with strong moral integrity, refraining from conduct(s) which are deemed inappropriate by any reasonable person in my interactions with others. • Conduct which can be demonstratively interpreted as disrespectful, abusive, humiliating, or intimidatingly aggressive, through or by physical, verbal, written or emotional abuse, in person or using social media or in any other way, conduct which would bring myself or Highbury Table Tennis Club into disrepute are strictly prohibited. • Smoking or taking drugs of any kind, during the duration of the trip is strictly prohibited. • Consuming alcohol while competing or representing Highbury TT Club is strictly prohibited. • Set a good example in all aspects of dress, punctuality, language, behaviour and respect of others and their equipment. • Attend all training sessions and league matches when required. • Conduct myself in a manner that takes all reasonable measure(s) to promote and safeguard my own safety and the safety of others. • Report inappropriate behaviour or risky situations to a member of staff (Sanket / Peter). My Equipment • Ensure both my equipment and attire are safe, well maintained and fit for purpose in training and all competitions. During all HTTC League Matches wear the official club T shirt, Home, and Away Matches. • Ensure that all my equipment is ITTF approved, and sport specific clothing complies with the competition/event rules and uniform guidelines. (No White and Orange T shirts allowed). For Others • Practice and participate fairly. • Be trustworthy, respectful of other team members always, do not behave in a manner which could be detrimental to their preparation or performance. • Respect the rights, dignity, and self-worth of all participants, regardless of age, gender, ability, race, cultural background or religious beliefs or sexual identity. • Always demonstrate respect for others, including coaches/teachers, venue staff, officials, other athletes, parents, team managers and spectators, etc. • Respect the personal space of others. • Socialise in common and public areas. Highbury TT Club Staff promotes and supports an atmosphere which allows everyone to participate and compete to the best of their abilities. This ethos is important, and all athletes/members should recognise, promote, and appreciate this. While we have high expectations of members’ behaviour, the same is expected of staff. You have the right to: • Enjoy Table Tennis in a safe, enjoyable, and protective environment. • Be respected, treated fairly, and participate on an equal basis, appropriate to your ability. • Ask for help, when needed. • Be always listened to. • Be believed. • Be protected from abuse by other attendees or outside sources while at the club or in representation of your duties for and on the behalf of the club. • Be referred to or sign posted to professional help if needed. Serious Misconduct will be dealt with in accordance with the Highbury Table Tennis Club’s disciplinary procedure. I have read and understood the above code of conduct and agree to be bound by it. Terms & Conditions - the basics

What to include in the T&C document
Generally speaking, T&C often address these types of issues: Who is allowed to use the website; the possible payment methods; a declaration that the website owner may change his or her offering in the future; the types of warranties the website owner gives his or her customers; a reference to issues of intellectual property or copyrights, where relevant; the website owner’s right to suspend or cancel a member’s account; and much, much more.
